The weather has changed dramatically from cold and rain to hot and humid. The temperature is expected to top over 90 and the humidity at 99% without rain.
We decided to take a ride into the Peggy’s Cove area to enjoy the scenery. It is very pretty around here and since the weather is so nice we will be able to do some outdoor activity.
We did some research on Flight 111 and there is still a lot of controversy as to why there was a fire in the cockpit even though none of the instrument panels was registering a problem. Of course there is the usual conspiracy theories and others
regarding the astronomical signs and then the occult theories regarding dates, moon and the devils # 666.
Regardless of who had what theory, the fact is a plane went down and everyone was lost. It is a beautiful memorial overlooking the waters where the plane fell from the sky.
Peggy’s Cove was a mob scene so after we gathered some info at the visitor center we headed down the road to places less traveled.
An interesting little shop. Love the artwork on the house.
We really hadn’t gotten a chance to sit outside and enjoy the weather since leaving Maine almost three weeks ago ,so when we got back from our ride we had our lunch outside and enjoyed the sunshine.
Our neighbor Irwin, came over and told us he had been worried about us because we weren’t back when he went to bed at 11:30 PM. He was also worried about our Jewel because he knew she was alone. We thanked him for his concern and assured him that Jewel was OK with us being gone for several hours.
He invited us to have dinner with him and his wife Renetta at a local restaurant down the street. Later we ate at the Fine Diner. It was very hot and the restaurant not air-conditioned. Most places do not have AC around here because this weather is unusual for them.
I think we have gotten the West Coast heat wave here in Canada. Once again we ordered seafood and once again it was delicious. We will be growing gills and fins very soon. LOL
Tomorrow weh will be going to the Ovens in Riverport. Ron has done some research and it is suppose to be a great hiking spot overlooking the ocean and ocean caves.
